Overview
Mayo scissors are among the most widely used cutting instruments in general surgery. SurgiNex manufactures the straight Mayo pattern from German-grade AISI 420 stainless steel, forged and hand-finished in Sialkot. Blades are precision-ground for clean cutting performance and long edge retention through repeated sterilization cycles.

Material & construction
Forged from AISI 420 surgical stainless steel with heat treatment for optimal hardness and corrosion resistance. Available with tungsten carbide (TC) inserts on request for extended cutting life.
Care instructions
- •Rinse immediately after use to remove biological residue
- •Clean with approved enzymatic detergent
- •Inspect blade edges and screw joint before sterilization
- •Autoclave according to hospital protocol (typically 134°C)
- •Store dry in protective tray inserts
